THE MOON FAMILIES OF CALSTOCK
INFORMATION PAGE

The first record I have of the Moon Family in Calstck is the administraton of Johannis Moon dated 1625. Sadly it is in the worst type of early scrawl and I have been unable to read it so far.

The next record is for a Richard Mohane who signed the Protestation return in 1641.

The Parish Records begin for Moon in 1669 but these early records are rather damaged and are not always complete.

Trewornan Bridge In The Cornish Family History Society Magazine No.119 March 2006 there was a very interesting article on the Moon family of Calstock, its origins and the building of Trewornan Bridge over the River Amble between St Minver and Engloshayle, Cornwall in 1790. There are other records of this in the Cornwall Record Office details can be found on A2A website (see useful links).
